RANGE ROVER SPORT SVR CARBON EDITION WEAVES ITS WAY INTO SOUTH AFRICA

With the addition of extensive carbon fibre detailing, Land Rover has given the highest-performance Range Rover Sport even more attitude. The new SVR Carbon Edition is available now, taking the flagship model to the next level for South African customers.


The new Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition’s exterior is set apart with visible carbon fibre in an exposed centre section of the bonnet, also featuring functional integrated cooling vents. The front bumper has been reprofiled to improve brake cooling, and carbon trim has been applied to the surrounds of the bumper vents, main grille, lower grille surrounds, side mirror covers, rear tailgate finisher and engine cover.


Lightweight 22-inch alloy wheels finished in Gloss Black, together with body-coloured detailing at the rear and an SVR badge in place of the Land Rover oval complete the SVR Carbon Edition’s exterior package.


Inside, SVR Carbon Edition-branded treadplates illuminate as doors open, and lightweight SVR Performance seats deliver a significant 30kg weight saving over the standard Range Rover Sport seat designs. Finished in high-quality perforated Windsor leather, the seats are heated in the front and rear as standard, and feature embossed SVR logos in the headrests. The front Performance seats also afford improved legroom in the rear thanks to their slim, supportive design.




A 19-speaker Meridian Surround Sound System, which combines 825 watts, a dual-channel subwoofer and Trifield technology continues the high-performance theme with a thrilling audio experience for occupants in all five seats.


Under the specially-finished bonnet is the most powerful engine in Land Rover’s history – a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 producing 423kW and 700Nm. That’s enough to power the Range Rover Sport SVR from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds and to a top speed of 283km/h.


The Range Rover Sport SVR is the fastest, most powerful and dynamic Land Rover ever produced. Designed, engineered and developed by Special Vehicle Operations, the luxury performance SUV is hand-finished in Coventry, UK.


Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition pricing is set at R2,831,000. As with all Land Rovers, the Carbon Edition is offered with a standard Land Rover Care plan which offers a 100,000km warranty and servicing within in 5 year period, whichever comes first.
